Infini-Tea

Infini-Tea was my senior capstone project. It is a community oriented, adaptive space dedicated to exploring the cultural significance of tea worldwide. The multifunctional environment provides cultural education, wellness, and community-building, offering visitors a place to gather, learn, and experience the global traditions of tea.

Project Scope

Process

Tea is commonly associated with slowness and intention. I wanted to capture tea imagery through photographs, tea herbs, and other botany with a process called cyanotype. Cyanotype is an early form of photography that is still experimented with today where the object to be printed is set up before exposing the solution to the light. It’s a very intentional and purposeful practice, which correlates with the intention behind the tea ceremony.
