Transit Museum Window
As part of a collaborative team project, we were tasked with conceptualizing, designing, and executing a large-scale window display on 7th Avenue. The final window concept was inspired by a 1930s train car from the New York Transit Museum.
Project Scope
Process
This window was a team project, in which I was primarily involved in the selection and application of materials (paint, upholstery, color selections, etc.). Working closely as a team, we developed a cohesive and immersive window by sourcing materials that reflected the original train car, as well as constructing, fabricating, and distressing components to enhance authenticity.
Mannequin and prop styling were curated to complement the scene without detracting from the overall environment. Some of my favorite aspects of this project included distressing the floor and walls, selecting an accurate color palette, and collaborating with the team to fully execute the concept as we envisioned it.
